Elimination of /usr/kvm ======================= Copyright (c) 1995-2000 by Sun Microsystems, Inc. All rights reserved. #ident "%Z%%M% %I% %E% SMI" As of Solaris 2.5, the /usr/kvm directory is no longer needed by the operating environment. The mount point continues to be provided for backward compatibility although all of the contents have been removed. In earlier releases, /usr/kvm contained the platform specific implementations of programs and libraries. The interface to these platform specific implementations was generally advertized to be in a platform independent directory and a symbolic link was used to bind the advertized platform independent interface to the platform specific implementation in /usr/kvm.
