The \fBsavetty()\fR and \fBresetty()\fR functions save and restore the  terminal state, respectively.  The \fBsavetty()\fR function saves the current state in a buffer; the  \fBresetty()\fR function restores the state to that stored in the buffer at the time of the last \fBsavetty()\fR call.
